Deep Roots Market is such a gem! I love supporting a local business that makes healthy, holistic living feel accessible instead of overwhelming. The store is clean, bright, and incredibly well organized, so it’s easy to browse without feeling lost. They have a great selection of fresh produce, organic foods, bulk herbs and spices, natural personal-care products, supplements, and so much more. I especially loved seeing the fresh ginger and turmeric and the huge variety of herbs! I was also pleasantly surprised by the prices. For a store focused on natural and organic products, it really isn’t overly expensive, and there are plenty of reasonably priced options. What really makes Deep Roots stand out, though, is the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It’s the kind of place where you can actually ask questions and get helpful guidance. If you’re interested in eating healthier, choosing more natural products, or incorporating a more holistic approach into everyday life, this is definitely a place worth checking out. And I love that I can do all of that while supporting a local market. Five stars from me

This was my first time visiting Deep Roots. I found a concentration of many food items I haven't found in other grocery stores I frequent and have to order online. I found tems I don't even find at Wholefoods or Sprouts. I wasn't impressed with the layout of the fresh produce area. That specific area of the store seemed crowded and thus took away from the appeal of the veggies and fruits. The bulk grain and food area was impressive. Lots of choices. Overall, I think the CoOp would benefit from more floor space especially in the produce area. This first visit was focused on a few areas of the store. As I become more familiar with Deep Roots I'm sure my opinion will develop. I did purchase a membership because it's worth it and because I believe in the purpose of the CoOp.

I’ve been visiting Deep Roots since I was a kid, when they were located off of Spring Garden St. I haven’t been to this location in a few years and was happy to make the trip here while I was downtown. I love the store but I noticed two things that really need attention that I will mention first: #1 Someone or more than one person working is wearing very strong cologne. It’s so strong that I could smell it through the aisles and on the boxes they used to box my items up. It was so strong that when I got home, all of my produce, bottles etc had a very strong cologne smell and I could literally smell it across the room on the items and had to air everything out. For a grocery store committed to natural food etc. why are you allowing your employees to wear fragrances? Especially for people who are chemical sensitive or fragrance sensitive? Kind of defeats the purpose of your whole store’s message. #2 After I finished shopping, I sat in the parking lot for 15 min and ate one of the breakfast biscuits, which was pretty good. During this time I witnessed THREE different customers, all alone, parking right up front in the handicap spots and walking in. There were no handicap parking pas

I've been to Deep Roots back when it was on Spring Street. I have been to the new store a few times and I'm really impressed with store, the variety and quality of the products they sell and the people who work in the store. My daughter wanted me to pick up some mullein, so off i went to Deep Roots. They did not disappoint. I found it sitting in alphabetical order amongst a veritable smorgasbord of other herbs. Amazing!! What a great place. Be sure to check Deep Roots out...you won't regret it.
